School and Parish Initiatives

We call upon the Church - her people, her leaders and her children
to listen with new ears, to see with new eyes,
what always was and what always will be,
to be awakened to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
lifeways, cultures and spiritualities.

This section of Yarra Healing showcases some of the ways in which schools and parishes of the Archdiocese of Melbourne are responding to this challenge.

A high hope and expectation is that the entries herein will grow in number. Schools and parishes are invited to share experiences and contribute information about how they are building relationships and advancing Reconciliation with Indigenous Australians.
