National Gallery of Victoria On Russell
Education - School Programs
The core philosophy of Education-School Programs is 'Education through
Art'. Art can provide a framework for enhancing aesthetic appreciation.
In addition, it is a powerful tool for understanding the context of
social history. Through art, we can discover the diversity of stories,
traditions and religious practices of Australian people, past and
present. A greater understanding of Aboriginal culture will assist
in the process of Reconciliation and lead to deeper awareness of the
cultural complexities of our nation.
